Textile Recycling and Products made from Textile Waste

Textile Recycling and Products made from Textile Waste

At DLG Australia we work closely with Local Government and collect direct from the tip-face at over 11 sites in NSW. In addition, through partnerships with many local Chairties we also collect excess textiles that were bound for landfill directly.

Since 2020, we have collected and REUSED/REPURPOSED/RECYCLED over 2,730,000kgs of Textile excess/waste that was directly bound for landfill in AUSTRALIA.

Of this amount, 14% was resued, 32% was repurposed and 54% was Recycled and given at least one extra life.

In addition, we then bought back the finished products made from Recycled Textiles and Plastics into the Australian marketplace. It is extremely important that we support and participate in the recycled product's distribution and re-entry back into the marketplace. Without buyers for the end product, there is no incentive or reason to recycle in the first place.
